Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Newark, DE
This opportunity is for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) licensed in Delaware to provide specialized services within a K-12 summer extended school year (ESY) program. Four onsite positions are available to serve various student groups in Wilmington, DE, from late June through early August 2026. These contracts are ideal for candidates seeking part-time work Monday through Thursday with a focused schedule aligned to students’ instructional hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication services to students ranging from early childhood through secondary education as assigned
- Collaborate with education teams to address IEP goals and student needs during the ESY session
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes following district and state guidelines
- Participate in any required staff meetings and professional development during contract period
Position Details:
- Workdays: Monday–Thursday, with varied start/end times depending on assignment site
- Sites include elementary, secondary, early childhood, and transition-age programs (ages 18–22)
- Caseloads will be assigned based on site and student needs
- Candidates open to Certified Fellows (CF) will be considered; SLPA applicants are not eligible
- Requires valid Delaware SLP license; application contingent on completion of $85 criminal background check fingerprinting (candidate cost)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Delaware SLP licensure
- Experience working with school-aged students in speech-language services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
