Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Bear, DE
This role is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving an elementary school setting with a focus on a split caseload involving traditional and autism programs. The position requires a valid and active Delaware SLP license and preference is given to candidates with school-based experience. Located in Bear, DE, this is a full-time, onsite contract role expected to run until June 12, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably elementary education
- Familiarity with caseloads that include traditional and autism spectrum disorder students
- Ability to work onsite full-time, ensuring close collaboration with educators and support staff
- Strong communication skills and reliability in transportation to commute to the school location
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students across traditional and autism-specific caseloads
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as needed
