Travel School Speech and Language Pathologist | New Oxford, Pennsylvania
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) or clinical fellowship year (CFY) candidate is needed for a travel position based in New Oxford, PA, specializing in early intervention preschool services. This role focuses on delivering speech-language therapy to preschool-aged children (ages 3 to 5) with special needs across a variety of educational and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech-language therapy services to preschool students within special education classrooms, Head Start programs, Pre-K Counts classes, daycares, and community preschools.
- Support ‘walk-in’ students through direct therapy sessions arranged by parental visits.
- Manage a caseload growing to 55 students by the end of the year.
- Participate in IEP meetings and allocate approximately half a day per week for paperwork and documentation.
- Travel within the assigned region to multiple sites, with travel time included in compensated hours.
- Adhere to a preschool stretch calendar with 188 workdays per year.
- Work a 35-hour week following standard scheduling for service delivery.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification: SLP credentials including CCC-SLP or appropriate state certification for school-based therapy.
- Experience: Background in early intervention programs or preschool speech therapy preferred.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel among various educational and community sites.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and paperwork effectively.
