Travel Speech and Language Pathologist - New Oxford, PA
Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to provide specialized therapy services to preschool-age children (ages 3 to 5) with special needs across multiple counties in Pennsylvania. These roles involve travel among various early childhood settings including preschool special education classrooms, Head Starts, PreK Counts classes, daycares, and community preschools. Additionally, services will be provided to walk-in students brought in by their parents for speech therapy.
Locations include:
- Adams County: New Oxford, PA (65 Billerbeck St)
- York County: York Learning Center, York, PA (300 E Seventh Ave)
- Franklin County: Chambersburg, PA (2397 Loop Rd)
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy to young children in diverse educational and community settings.
- Managing a caseload expected to reach 55 students by the end of the school year.
- Participating in IEP meetings and dedicating approximately half a day per week to paperwork and collaboration.
- Traveling regularly to various service sites within the assigned county.
- Following the preschool stretch calendar with 188 workdays per year.
- Serving in accordance with Early Intervention program protocols (preferred experience).
- Supervising or collaborating with support staff, though SLPAs and VOCO assistants are not utilized in this role.
- Accepting both certified SLPs and clinical fellows, with supervision costs supported by the agency.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with appropriate Pennsylvania credentials.
- Experience or interest in early intervention and preschool special education environments.
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned county locations.
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome; supervision will be provided.
- Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and IEP documentation.
This opportunity offers a flexible schedule of 35 hours weekly with travel included in compensation and contract dates from ASAP through June 2026.
