Speech-Language Pathologist – Contract, Preschool Focus – York County or Adams County, PA
An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized speech therapy services to preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years) with special needs in diverse settings throughout York and Adams Counties, Pennsylvania. This contract role offers the chance to contribute to early childhood development across multiple educational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, PreK Counts classes, daycares, community preschools, and ‘walk-in’ students brought by parents.
- Manage a caseload aiming for 55 students by the end of the school year.
- Participate in IEP meetings and complete paperwork approximately half a day per week.
- Cover a 35-hour workweek, with travel to various sites such as the York Learning Center (York County) or the office at 65 Billerbeck St (Adams County).
- Follow the preschool stretch calendar, working 188 days per year from ASAP through June 2026.
- Work will include Early Intervention programs; preference for candidates with experience in Early Intervention preschool services.
- Supervision provided for Clinical Fellows (CF); agency to cover supervision costs.
- Provide therapy without the assistance of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or use of VOCO devices onsite.
Qualifications:
- Valid PA Speech-Language Pathologist certification required.
- Experience in preschool speech therapy strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and work across multiple locations.
- Clinical Fellow candidates considered with supervision provided.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to handle IEP meetings and related documentation.
