Two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed for schools in New Orleans, LA. These contract positions begin ASAP and extend through the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal. One SLP will serve in a high school setting, and the other will work with K-8 students. Both roles require delivering services in a school environment with approximately 50% of students identified as English Learners.

Responsibilities include providing intervention services tailored to caseloads ranging from 30 to 50 students. SLPs will focus mainly on therapy and progress monitoring rather than conducting evaluations, as assessment duties are handled by a designated team member. In some cases, tasks will be observation-focused to support ongoing intervention plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations
  • Familiarity with healthcare-based speech services is beneficial
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Skills providing services to English Learners (EL) is highly valuable

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Roles based in New Orleans schools (one at the high school level and one at K-8 level)
  • Contract position through the current academic year, with renewal option
