School-Based SLP | Kenner, Louisiana
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school located in Kenner, LA. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) through May 21, 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to work directly onsite with a diverse student population.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students ranging from PreK through 8th grade. The caseload varies based on preference:
- PreK-8th grade with approximately 50-60 students
- 4th-8th grade with about 55 students
This role requires delivering speech and language therapy services in compliance with individual education plans (IEPs), collaborating with educators and families to support student progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (preferably CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably K-12
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of 50+ students
- Comfortable working onsite full-time
- Open to candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF)
Location: Kenner, Louisiana (onsite)
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
