Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities

Develop and implement individualized teletherapy treatment plans based on student needs

Provide direct therapy services through secure online platforms

Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers to support student success

Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for virtual services
Federal and State Requirements
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Current Louisiana SLP license required
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered

Prior experience with teletherapy platforms strongly preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Louisiana school districts
