Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | New Orleans, LA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time opportunities with school districts in the New Orleans, LA area. This is a rewarding role for professionals dedicated to supporting students’ communication and language development within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders in students.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
-
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
-
Maintain detailed records of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessments.
-
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
-
Offer consultation and guidance to classroom teachers and school staff regarding speech and language strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Louisiana local and state requirements, including:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Appropriate certification to provide services in Louisiana public schools (e.g., Louisiana Department of Education certification or eligibility).

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

School-based or pediatric experience is a strong plus.

Ability to pass background checks and any necessary clearances required by the school district.
