Blazer Jobs is actively partnering with school districts across Louisiana to recruit licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. Position Summary
In this role, you will provide assessment and treatment services to students with speech and language impairments that affect learning and social interaction. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plans based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Openings are available throughout Louisiana, including in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Monroe, and other districts.
Core Duties:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine eligibility for services

Design individualized therapy goals and treatment plans aligned with IEP requirements

Deliver therapy sessions in both individual and group settings within the school environment

Maintain accurate records and progress notes according to Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) standards

Collaborate with IEP teams and participate in meetings with educators and families

Recommend assistive technology, communication strategies, and environmental modifications

Ensure adherence to IDEA and Louisiana state special education policies
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

Current Louisiana license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome
-
Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings is advantageous

Must successfully complete Louisiana public school background checks and fingerprinting

Both full-time and part-time contracts available
