Job Description
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their communication and academic goals. While classroom experience is not required, we are looking for individuals with strong clinical skills and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals.

Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations.

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention strategies.

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making.
Requirements – Texas SLP Credentials
To be considered, candidates must meet federal and Texas state requirements for practicing as a school-based SLP:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Active Texas State SLP License through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though CFs may be considered depending on district preferences.

Fingerprinting and background checks per Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.

Compliance with school district onboarding and credentialing processes.
