About the Role:

As a School SLP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the communication abilities of our diverse student population. You will provide comprehensive speech and language services, conduct assessments, develop individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can apply your expertise to foster academic and social growth in students from kindergarten through high school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to K-12th grade students with a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, language (receptive and expressive), pragmatics, and social communication.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify communication strengths and weaknesses, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students, establishing measurable goals and objectives in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Serve as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams (e.g., IEP teams, 504 teams) to determine student eligibility, discuss progress, and contribute to overall educational planning.

  • Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, special education teachers, administrators, parents, and other related service providers to integrate communication goals into the educational setting.

  • Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and provide timely progress reports to parents and the IEP team.

  • Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents regarding communication strategies and support.

  • Manage a diverse caseload across two school sites, ensuring equitable and effective service delivery.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA, OR actively engaged in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under the supervision of a certified SLP.

  • Current or eligible for a New Hampshire Speech-Language Pathologist license.

  • Experience working with school-aged children (K-12th grade) is preferred, but strong CFY candidates with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools, intervention techniques, and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.

  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and special education laws.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and travel between two school sites as required.
