Certified Grades 6 - 8 Speech Therapist in Higganum, CT
A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time contract position serving middle school students in grades 6 through 8. This opportunity spans from April 15 to June 11 and is based in Higganum, CT. The ideal candidate will hold current certification and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8)
- Strong ability to assess and implement individualized treatment plans
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with educational staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy to students in grades 6-8
- Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations
- Participate in meetings and provide professional insight to enhance student learning
