Position Details:

  • Location: New Britain, CT
  • Contract duration: Immediate start through June 9, 2026
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM (35 hours per week)
  • Split placement between two elementary schools (specific sites to be determined)
  • Onsite role with hands-on collaboration with school staff and students
  • Number of openings: 2

Qualifications:

  • Hold current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP); candidates with Clinical Fellowship (CF) status are also welcome to apply
  • Active Connecticut SLP license
  • Experience working in school settings is required
  • Ability to work with a broad range of disability categories within inclusion settings (no specialized classrooms)
  • Compliance with district fingerprinting and background checks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • SLPA candidates will not be considered for this role

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services in an educational environment
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs for students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation following regulatory and district requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
