Bilingual Preferred - Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in our New Britain schools, you will be responsible for providing individualized speech and language therapy to students across various grade levels. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student. Your bilingual skills will be particularly valuable in supporting students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, helping them improve their communication skills and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Connecticut state licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and another language is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a school setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
