This full-time speech-language pathology opportunity in Leesville, LA, offers a rewarding role within an elementary school setting, working with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The position is contract-based for the current school year, extending until May 21st, 2026, with a caseload of approximately 50 students presenting mild to moderate disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services tailored to individual student needs.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor speech and language progress.
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Prepare detailed progress reports and recommendations.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current Louisiana Speech Language Pathologist License (LA SLP-CCC) is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within K-8 settings.
- Strong skills in teletherapy, pediatrics, school health care, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) competencies are advantageous.
Work Schedule:
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
- School year contract position (CSY).
