Remote Speech Pathologist Position - Nashua, NH
VocoVision recruits qualified speech language pathologists for teletherapy positions throughout the United States. We work with schools seeking experienced SLPs who can effectively deliver specialized communication services in virtual environments, ensuring students with speech and language disorders receive appropriate therapeutic interventions regardless of location.
Remote speech therapy opportunities in New Hampshire offer qualified SLPs the chance to work from home while supporting students with communication challenges. These positions utilize established teletherapy platforms designed specifically for speech-language service delivery, enabling you to provide high-quality clinical services while maintaining professional flexibility.
Position Snapshot
Virtual speech language pathologists in these roles typically commit to 36-40 hours per week, managing student caseloads ranging from 40-50 individuals across varied grade levels with concentration in elementary and middle school populations. The remote format allows geographical flexibility while maintaining structured therapy schedules aligned with school calendars and student service minutes specified in IEPs.
Students requiring speech-language services represent diverse communication disorders and severity levels. Your caseload will likely include students with phonological processes requiring pattern-based intervention, language disorders affecting academic performance, childhood apraxia of speech needing intensive motor planning practice, fluency disorders impacting communication confidence, and social communication deficits associated with autism spectrum disorders. Therapy must be individualized to address each student's IEP goals while promoting functional communication skills.
Primary Clinical Functions
Implementing individualized therapy plans drives your daily work. You'll design sessions addressing specific speech and language goals, deliver intervention through live video utilizing digital manipulatives and interactive activities, provide models and cues appropriate to each student's skill level, and document student performance during each session. Creative approaches help translate traditional therapy techniques into engaging virtual formats that maintain student motivation.
Ongoing assessment informs treatment planning and demonstrates therapeutic progress. You'll conduct informal probes during therapy sessions, administer formal assessments as required by evaluation schedules, analyze error patterns to guide intervention focus, and compile quarterly progress reports with specific data supporting goal achievement or revision. Data analysis guides decisions about continuing current approaches or modifying treatment plans.
Successful teletherapy requires active collaboration with educational teams. You'll participate in multidisciplinary IEP meetings conducted remotely, consult with general and special education teachers about implementing communication strategies in classroom settings, provide parent training sessions for home practice activities, and coordinate with occupational therapists and psychologists when students receive multiple related services. Building collaborative relationships despite physical separation requires excellent communication and responsiveness.
Technology management is integral to teletherapy effectiveness. You'll become proficient with your assigned teletherapy platform, troubleshoot common technical problems that arise during sessions, maintain digital records complying with HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality requirements, and utilize various speech therapy software programs and apps to enhance intervention effectiveness and student engagement.
Candidate Qualifications
New Hampshire speech language pathologist licensure is required and must remain current throughout employment. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is mandatory. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders. A minimum of two years' experience providing speech therapy in K-12 school settings is necessary, with preference given to candidates demonstrating teletherapy background.
Remote work requires specific technical capabilities and infrastructure. Your home must have reliable high-speed internet service capable of supporting video conferencing without interruption, a computer meeting system requirements with functioning webcam and quality microphone, and a dedicated workspace allowing private therapy sessions and professional video presence. Comfort with educational technology and willingness to learn new teletherapy platforms quickly are essential.
