Speech Language Pathologist in Naperville, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available to support middle school students in Des Plaines, IL. This long-term leave contract position provides an opportunity to work with a caseload of approximately 42-50 students, focusing on their speech and language development within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to enhance language and communication skills of students
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collect and analyze data related to IEP goals to track student progress
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and prepare detailed reports
- Collaborate with educators, IEP teams, parents, and other stakeholders to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education is required; verification can be completed through the official ISBE portal
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (preferably CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience providing speech therapy services in a school environment is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Work Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.
- Position based in Des Plaines, IL, serving middle school students
This contract assignment runs from February 17, 2026, through a pending end date, offering stability during the duration of the long-term leave.
