Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Aurora, Illinois
A full or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available from March through the end of the school year, with potential renewal for the following academic year. This contract position is based onsite at an elementary school in Aurora, IL, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, averaging approximately 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 40-50 students across designated grade levels within the school. The caseload consists solely of students with speech and language impairments. Additionally, some students may have co-existing diagnoses such as Specific Learning Disability, Other Health Impairment, Developmental Delays, or Autism. Documentation and reporting will be completed using the Embrace IEP software system.
Qualifications and experience for this role include:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
- Experience working with pediatric populations in schools
- Comfort managing diverse caseloads including various disabilities
- Ability to deliver therapy in an elementary school setting onsite
