A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a middle school in Aurora, IL, for the current school year. This contract role offers an opportunity to work onsite, providing specialized support to students in a collaborative environment with manageable caseloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to approximately 35 middle school students.
- Collaborate with another SLP who will be onsite one day per week to support shared caseload management.
- Manage cases primarily focused on speech and language needs.
- Participate in relevant case management duties and maintain thorough documentation.
- Deliver services during typical school hours, approximately 7:45 am – 3:15 pm, full time.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students in school settings.
- Skills and certifications including SLP-CCC, pediatric SLP, and healthcare-related speech-language pathology are highly valuable.
- Ability to manage a middle school caseload effectively, with attention to individual student needs.
