A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year in a middle school setting located in Joliet, IL. This contract role starts ASAP and continues through May 28, 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 35 middle school students, supporting their communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate SLP endorsement
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) strongly preferred
- Experience working with middle school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining high-quality services
