School Speech and Language Pathologist | Naperville, Illinois
A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive support to K-12 students in a dynamic school setting in Naperville, IL. This contract position spans the current school year and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills and overall development of diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) is required
- Experience working within school-based settings (SLP - School) strongly preferred
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and school staff
