Blazer Jobs is working alongside school districts throughout California to recruit qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. These positions are ideal for professionals who are committed to improving student communication and academic outcomes.
About the Position
SLPs in California schools play a key role in identifying and treating speech and language disorders that impact learning and classroom participation. You will collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support students through targeted interventions and customized service plans.
Opportunities are open in school systems located in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach, Oakland, and neighboring areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech-language assessments in accordance with California Department of Education (CDE) and IDEA guidelines
-
Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
-
Provide therapy services in both individual and group formats
-
Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare required reports
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility decisions
-
Consult with educators and parents on strategies for supporting communication development in school settings
-
Supervise SLPAs (if applicable) following California licensure rules
Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
-
Valid California SLP license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may also be considered
-
School-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required
-
Must pass fingerprinting and background checks required by California public school districts
