Qualifications & Requirements:
Candidates must meet all California state and local requirements for providing speech-language services in schools, including:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Active California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)
-
Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (required for public school practice)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
-
Live Scan fingerprint clearance
-
Current TB test
-
Previous experience in school settings preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct evaluations and screenings for students with speech and language challenges
-
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
-
Provide direct therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings
-
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
-
Maintain accurate and compliant records of services and student progress
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary support planning
