Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Oceanside, CA
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting during the Extended School Year (ESY) contract period. This position is ideal for a candidate passionate about working with children across various developmental stages and focused on delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support students' communication goals
- Providing direct therapy to students in a school environment
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of student progress and services provided
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to program development
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Professional Credential: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred
- Eligible for or holding a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) credential or equivalent
- Experience working within pediatric settings and healthcare environments is beneficial
- Background in school-based SLP services and familiarity with K-12 educational requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student populations
Location: Oceanside, CA
This is a contract role specifically for the ESY term, focusing on supporting student communication development during the summer months within a school environment.
