Speech and Language Pathologist in Morris, IL

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a K-12 special education cooperative located in Morris, IL. This contract position offers 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week and involves providing specialized support to students primarily on the autism spectrum across three schools, including an elementary and junior high caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, focusing on those on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in meetings and provide support for families and school teams
- Travel between three schools located in Morris and Minooka, IL
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid license or certification to practice in a school setting
- School experience preferred, with familiarity working with K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment, and intervention techniques
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Location: Morris, Illinois (service required at three schools, including one in Morris and two in Minooka)
