Minimum Requirements (New Mexico):
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

Valid New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board
-
Possession of a Level 1 or Level 2 New Mexico PED license with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY applicants may be considered
-
Understanding of IDEA, IEPs, and school-based service delivery
-
Ability to pass required background and fingerprinting checks
Responsibilities:
-
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language needs
-
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs
-
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
-
Track and document student progress accurately
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning and support
-
Support classroom staff with communication strategies and resources
