A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 setting in Salinas, CA, to provide specialized speech and language services for elementary students. This contract position runs through June 4, 2026, serving a caseload of students with multiple handicapping conditions. The ideal candidate will hold valid California SLP licensure, ASHA certification, and an educator credential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement intensive individualized speech and language programs tailored to students with complex needs.
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations, documenting findings, observations, and progress to support effective remediation.
- Collaborate and communicate therapy progress effectively with instructional staff and families to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and file documentation in compliance with district policies.
- Support educational teams in addressing speech and language challenges within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license required.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Possession of a valid educator credential.
- Experience working with children in school settings, especially in elementary education.
- Ability to manage caseloads involving multiple handicapping conditions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location: Salinas, California
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
