School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Van Nuys, California
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position at an elementary school in Van Nuys, CA, working onsite with a caseload primarily at the preschool level. This role offers the opportunity to provide vital speech and language support services within a dynamic school environment. The contract runs from the start date ASAP through June 5, 2025, with working hours from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for preschool-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40 students
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Teaching Credential (CTC) for speech-language pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, specifically with preschool and elementary populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work onsite in Van Nuys, CA, with adherence to school schedules and policies
