Minnesota Remote SLP Secondary Transition Communication Coach
We are seeking a Remote 1099 Speech-Language Pathologist to support middle and high school students in Minnesota with communication skills critical for transition planning and post-secondary success. This role is perfect for SLPs passionate about equipping students with functional language, self-advocacy, and workplace communication strategies. You’ll work closely with transition coordinators and special education teams in a fully virtual model.
Responsibilities:

Deliver virtual therapy targeting functional and social communication.

Develop IEP goals aligned with transition objectives.

Provide coaching in self-advocacy, job interview skills, and workplace language.

Collaborate with transition specialists and vocational educators.

Support writing and speaking tasks for real-life scenarios (resumes, interviews, emails).

Monitor and report progress toward communication goals.

Participate in IEP meetings focused on transition planning.

Adjust therapy based on student maturity and career goals.

Guide students in using assistive technology for communication.

Ensure compliance with Minnesota’s secondary transition mandates.

Educate families on communication expectations after high school.

Document services according to district and state requirements.

Train educators on communication supports for older students.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all sessions.

Support students with disabilities in developing self-expression and independence.

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
