Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the dynamic Montgomery area. This full-time, school-based role spans the academic year, running from August through May, offering consistent hours and meaningful student engagement. With a caseload of approximately 60 students, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact, typically working at a single site but occasionally splitting between two schools for added variety.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (ASHA) license for Alabama
  • Active Alabama professional educator license (Please verify via the state certification portal)
  • Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs) and those with SLP-CCC credentials
  • Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Willingness to provide supervision if holding SLP-CCC status
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders for diverse elementary and middle school students
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and monitor progress toward IEP goals
  • Document student performance and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and parents
  • If CCCs: Supervise CFs and other staff as assigned
  • Primarily onsite service delivery, occasionally supporting two local schools
