A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 day center serving a severe cognitive impairment (SCI) population in Monroe, MI. This contract role runs through May 22, 2026, with an immediate start date. The position requires onsite work only.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade with severe cognitive impairments.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) devices as part of therapy plans.
- Manage caseloads in compliance with Michigan’s maximum limit of 60 students; exact caseload details to be discussed during the interview.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Michigan.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in a K-12 setting.
- Familiarity with SCI populations and use of AAC and AT devices.
- Candidates holding SLP-CF or SLPA credentials are not eligible.
Location:
- Monroe, Michigan – onsite work only at a specialized K-12 day center.
