Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university.
- Valid and current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate approach and patience when working with children and their families.
- Ability to design and implement creative, individualized therapy sessions.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech, language, voice, articulation, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success both in and out of the classroom.
- Monitor, track, and report students’ progress toward therapeutic goals.
- Provide guidance and resources to educators and staff regarding communication strategies and support.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture.
