Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting students in grades 6-8 or 10-12 on the southwest side of the Houston area. This on-site, full-time contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offering you the chance to make a significant difference during the academic year. Flexibility is considered in school assignments based on your preferred age group and ZIP code.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with educators, help drive student progress, and engage in meaningful work such as leading ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, providing direct therapy, testing, and potentially supervising other clinicians if desired. You’ll manage a caseload of about 50-60 students, enabling focused, impactful therapy within a middle or high school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP licensure and FL SLP licensure (please provide an image of your license upon submission)
- Experience or comfort handling ARD meetings and school-based therapy
- Ability to manage mid-size caseloads efficiently
- Commitment to full scope SLP responsibilities, or a preference to provide supervision only
- Completion of required fingerprinting for credentialing (or previous prints in system)
- Willingness to work on-site and travel between assigned schools, as needed
- Previous experience with middle or high school populations preferred
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate and participate in ARD meetings
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy
- Conduct assessments and maintain progress documentation
- Serve as a resource for staff and participate in collaborative problem-solving
