Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Full-Time
Location: Minden, LA
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for full-time positions within partnering school districts in the Minden, LA area. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about improving students’ communication skills and making a lasting impact in school-based settings.
Details:
- Location: Minden, LA
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: K-12, SLP conducting testing and evaluations. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience, including age group.
All candidates must meet Louisiana state and district qualifications, including:
- Completion of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a valid Louisiana SLPA License issued by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA).
- Supervision by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) as required by state law.
- Completion of any required school district background checks and fingerprinting.
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP
- Work with students individually or in small groups on speech, language, fluency, and voice programs
- Assist in screening and assessing students as part of the evaluation process
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and follow district and state guidelines
- Understanding of IEPs and the special education process
