A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This contract position focuses exclusively on conducting evaluations, providing a specialized role for professionals interested in assessment within the school setting. The position is onsite and commences during the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students in an elementary school setting
- Document and report findings accurately and timely
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to recommend appropriate interventions based on evaluation results
- Maintain compliance with school district policies and relevant state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Eligibility for or completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in school-based SLP settings
- Experience with pediatric populations in educational environments
- Proven ability to conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
- Comfort performing duties onsite, ensuring direct engagement with students and school personnel
