School Speech and Language Pathologist | Millbrook, Alabama
Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting local elementary and middle school students through high-quality speech-language services. In this rewarding opportunity, you'll be instrumental in helping young learners unlock their communication potential, either at a single school site or occasionally split between two. With a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students, you’ll enjoy meaningful interactions and a collaborative school environment.
What we’re seeking:
- Active SLP (ASHA) certification, with eligibility for an Alabama SLP license
- Current or in-process Alabama professional educator license (more info at the state certification website)
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially elementary and middle school populations
- Comfortable with a caseload of around 60 students and providing services onsite
- Willingness to supervise if you hold your CCCs (we welcome Clinical Fellows)
- Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and dedication to supporting diverse learning needs
What you’ll do:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language services, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state requirements
- Attend meetings, provide recommendations, and support student transitions
- Mentor and supervise as needed (for CCCs), contributing to a positive culture of professional growth
This contract runs from August through May—offering the stability of a full academic year schedule at 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work onsite, making a direct impact in students’ daily school experiences. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply, and there are two openings to fill!
