A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to serve K-12 students in a supportive school environment located in Middletown, DE. This contract role runs from the current school year start through June 11, 2025, offering a Monday to Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The caseload and grade levels will be determined based on student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess communication needs.
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with educators and parents.
- Monitor and document student progress through data collection.
- Maintain thorough and timely therapy notes using Data Service Center and Power School IEP systems.
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware licensure or certification as an SLP is required.
- Candidates must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working within a school setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with school-based software systems for documentation and progress monitoring.
- Must be a certified SLP; Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not being considered for this role.
- Preference given to candidates able to work onsite; hybrid options available.
