About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year in Berlin, New Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a profound impact on a diverse student population, providing comprehensive speech and language services to K-12th grade students. This role may also include supporting students in alternative educational programs, offering a varied and enriching caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across Kindergarten through 12th grade, including those in alternative educational settings.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans tailored to address a wide range of communication disorders (e.g., articulation, phonology, receptive/expressive language, fluency, voice, social communication).
- Providing direct and indirect therapy services to students in various settings (individual, small group, classroom-based) based on their IEP goals and unique needs.
- Collaborating effectively with general and special education teachers, parents, school psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to integrate communication goals into the educational environment.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, IEPs, and all other required reports.
- Participating actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for student success.
- Adapting therapy activities and strategies to suit the developmental stages, learning styles, and diverse needs of students across all grade levels and program types.
- Staying current with best practices, research, and advancements in school-based speech-language pathology.
- Potentially providing supervision and mentorship to Clinical Fellows (CFs), if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Must possess valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification/licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
- We welcome applications from both CCC-SLPs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) and Clinical Fellows (CFs) actively pursuing their certification.
- Experience working with K-12th grade student populations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity or willingness to work with students in alternative educational programs.
- Strong understanding of the IEP process, special education law, and school-based service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.
