School Speech Language Pathologist - Midlothian, Virginia
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to serve K-2 students in an elementary virtual school setting. This role supports young learners by delivering specialized speech and language services tailored to their developmental needs. The position offers a full-time schedule for the school year, beginning as soon as possible through May 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments and therapy to children ages 5-8.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress and integrate therapy goals within the educational environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress notes, and evaluations.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Experience working with early elementary school-aged children (K-2) in speech-language pathology.
- Knowledge of best practices in speech, language, and communication interventions for young learners.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location: Virtual assignment supporting students in Henrico County Public Schools, Virginia.
