This opportunity seeks Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for summer 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) contracts serving K-12 students in a Delaware public school district. Positions are fully onsite with structured hours from Monday to Thursday, providing essential speech and language support to diverse student populations across various school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students exhibiting communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district guidelines.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet needs of elementary, secondary, early childhood, and transition-age students.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Speech-Language Pathology license required; license must be submitted with application.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Open to candidates with SLP credentialing; Clinical Fellow (CF) status accepted. SLPA applications will not be considered.
- Experience working within school settings and ESY programs strongly preferred.
- Ability to commit to 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday.
- Candidate must agree to complete and pay for an $85 criminal background check (CBC) fingerprinting process.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Four distinct openings with varied schedules at multiple school sites serving different grade levels (elementary, secondary, early childhood, and transition-aged students).
- Hours generally range from early morning to mid-afternoon, with a 30-minute paid lunch break.
- Contract duration from approximately June 22 to August 7, 2026.
- Positions located in Wilmington, DE area.
