A K-12 school located in Middletown, DE, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services for the current school year through June 12, 2026. This full-time, contract position involves working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week, with the exact grades and caseload to be determined.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students requiring support
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
- Develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and actively participate in meetings related to student progress and services
- Collect and analyze progress monitoring data to inform instruction
- Maintain timely and accurate therapy notes and documentation
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware SLP licensure/certification required (confirmation of current licensure must be provided)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings advantageous
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education processes
- Proficiency with Data Service Center and PowerSchool IEP software systems
- Note: The client is only considering fully licensed SLPs and not Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at this time
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site presence preferred; however, hybrid work arrangements may be considered
- Collaborative school environment supporting student learning and development
