A K-12 school located in Middletown, DE, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services for the current school year through June 12, 2026. This full-time, contract position involves working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week, with the exact grades and caseload to be determined.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy to students requiring support
  • Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
  • Develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings related to student progress and services
  • Collect and analyze progress monitoring data to inform instruction
  • Maintain timely and accurate therapy notes and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware SLP licensure/certification required (confirmation of current licensure must be provided)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school-based settings advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education processes
  • Proficiency with Data Service Center and PowerSchool IEP software systems
  • Note: The client is only considering fully licensed SLPs and not Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at this time

Work Environment:

  • Primarily on-site presence preferred; however, hybrid work arrangements may be considered
  • Collaborative school environment supporting student learning and development
