A travel position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in school-based services, located in Middletown, CT. This opportunity focuses on supporting a high school caseload with approximately 45 students, providing targeted speech and language therapy throughout the academic year, starting immediately through the end of the school year (EOSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy interventions tailored to high school students’ needs.
- Manage a caseload of 45 students, ensuring individualized treatment plans are developed, implemented, and monitored for progress.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs in compliance with educational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with high school-aged students.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school personnel.
- Flexibility to travel and adaptable to varied school environments.
Schedule & Caseload:
- Approximately 25.5 hours per week.
- Caseload includes 45 high school students.
- Position runs now through the end of the school year.
