This travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the unique opportunity to work in a vibrant waterfront city in Maryland, known for its marinas and boating lifestyle. Situated just a 1 hour and 45-minute weekend trip from Washington, DC, this itinerant role spans the full 2026-2027 school year, providing a dynamic professional experience within a school setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tools and clinical observations to develop accurate diagnoses.
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual student needs, adjusting approaches as necessary to optimize progress.
- Provide education and support to students and families regarding communication disorders and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare and educational teams to ensure holistic and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maryland state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Proficient in diagnostic assessments, therapeutic interventions, and technology including electronic health record systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
