Speech and Language Pathologist - Michigan City, IN
This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting located in Michigan City, IN. The position is a contract role for the upcoming 26-27 school year, requiring 35 hours per week onsite. The focus is on delivering comprehensive speech therapy to support students with a broad range of communicative and developmental needs.
Key responsibilities include planning and implementing speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language development. You will conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing, prepare detailed assessment reports, and develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives. The role involves working closely with students aged 2 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities, while maintaining open communication with parents and collaborating with educational teams to monitor progress and tailor support.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Possession of or eligibility for an Indiana Professional License (IPLA) and an Indiana Department of Education teaching license
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities
