School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Plano, Texas
An opportunity is available for a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (English and Spanish) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school district located in Mesquite, Texas. This contractual, itinerant position will play a vital role in the district's evaluation team, providing essential services across multiple campuses. The contract term runs from January 5th, 2026, through May 28th, 2026, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students across assigned campuses.
- Collaborate with educational staff and support personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
- Utilize district-provided resources such as test kits, computers, badges, and email for effective case management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies.
- Work primarily onsite with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology license required.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish to support bilingual evaluations and services.
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with K-12 populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload effectively.
Location: Mesquite, Texas – Itinerant role covering specific campuses with an office at the Student Support Center.
