Schedule: 4 days at Elementary School / 1 day at Middle School
Dates: August 20, 2025 - June 19, 2026 (Full 2025-2026 School Year)
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year in Hudson, New Hampshire. This onsite position offers a dynamic caseload split between an Elementary and Middle School, providing a diverse range of experiences. A significant component of this role will involve working within our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program, requiring expertise and a passion for supporting students with ASD. The successful candidate will also provide essential supervision to a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across Elementary and Middle School grades.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans addressing a wide range of communication disorders, with a particular focus on the needs of students in the ASD program.
- Providing direct and indirect therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings.
- Providing direct supervision to a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in accordance with New Hampshire state regulations and ASHA guidelines, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborating effectively with general and special education teachers, parents, school psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members, especially those involved in the ASD program.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, IEPs, and all other required reports.
- Participating actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for student success.
- Adapting therapy activities and strategies to suit the developmental stages, learning styles, and diverse needs of students.
- Staying current with best practices, research, and advancements in school-based speech-language pathology, particularly in the area of ASD.
Qualifications:
- Must possess valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is required.
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting with Elementary and Middle School students is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in working with students on the Autism Spectrum.
- Proven ability to effectively supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Strong understanding of the IEP process, special education law, and school-based service delivery models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a split caseload.
