A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Meriden, CT, providing a contract role from ASAP through June 9, 2026. This onsite position involves working approximately 35 hours per week from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, supporting a diverse range of students within an inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to approximately 50 students on caseload, with potential variations due to student enrollment changes
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' communication needs across a variety of disability categories
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress within the general education setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF)
- School-based speech-language pathology experience required
- Active Connecticut license to practice as an SLP
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks is mandatory
- Strictly no Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) considered for this role
