SLP in Mentor, OH
A School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position providing leave coverage from the last week of February through May. This role supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade with speech and language therapy services during a critical portion of the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals
- Complete documentation, progress reports, and evaluation summaries in compliance with school district policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with valid credentials (CCC, CFY preferred)
- Prior experience working in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Schedule and Location: This position is located in Mentor, OH, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, corresponding with the regular school day. This is a contract role covering leave from the last week of February through the end of May.
