Pediatric Speech Pathology - Joliet, IL
A K-12 school district in Joliet, IL, is seeking a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position starting ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY). This role offers flexible scheduling with part-time hours, approximately 13 hours per week across two days (8:30 am – 3:30 pm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bilingual speech-language services primarily in Spanish, supporting requests submitted by the district
- Collaborate with two full-time SLPs on caseload management and service delivery
- Serve a wide range of student disabilities with indirect services, including goal collaboration and participation in IEP meetings
- Utilize the Embrace system for IEP documentation and compliance
- Deliver onsite services within the district
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement required
- Experience working as a bilingual SLP, particularly in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric caseloads and the school IEP process
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for team-based service delivery
